Quynh gets top student award at Monash University Business School
Quynh is one of the accountants involved in SMSF administration work for Dover advisers. Quynh just won an award from Monash University for being the top student in Advanced Financial Accounting Theory and Practice, a difficult third year subject. She picked up the Chartered Accountants Australian and NZ prize as well Not a bad effort when you consider Quynh lives in Vietnam and English is her second language! We are proud of her and accordingly
I visited our Vietnam office this week. We have 65 staff in Ho Chi Minh City, and about 13 of them are actively involved in Dover’s back office functions. They all hold Australian university degrees and are very good at what they do. Its amazing to walk into an office in another country, step up to a screen and read an e-mail to an adviser asking why the commission paid on a particular insurance policy differed to the one disclosed in the earlier statement of advice. Amazing, and amazingly efficient. A highlight was a trip to the Economics University of Ho Chi Minh City, where we met with students and professors involved in our scholarship program. Dover (with McMasters) provides full scholarships to 50 deserving students to help them through an otherwise out of reach university education. It’s part of our commitment to social justice and one we hope to expand and continue for many years. You are welcome to visit our HCMC office if you are ever in Vietnam. The office is directly opposite the international airport. So you can just stroll over and have morning tea with the team who handles your commissions! They do a great job, so it’s your shout. Everyone who has been comes away impressed with what they are doing.
Can Dover’s Vietnam office help you?
Dover’s Vietnam office does work for other clients too, and there is no reason why it cannot do work for you, including handling insurance applications, preparing monthly and year end accounts and many other tasks. Let me know if you think we can help.
