Dover’s Training Days 2017

Dover’s training days are on again in 2017. More than 350 people attended these days in 2016, and 2017 promises to be even bigger. This year, for the first time, we are taking the training to every state capital city – including Hobart.

Agenda

The agenda for the training is as follows:

  • Session 1: attracting and retaining clients in the post-FOFA and post-LIF world
  • Session 2: keeping yourself in the regulator’s good books
  • Session 3: how to earn a fee from your client’s legal needs
  • Session 4: how to create recurring revenues in a tax efficient manner
  • Session 5: tales from the trenches: adviser presentations and q and a sessions.

Please note that the order will change from venue to venue according to speaker availability. This year there will be at least four speakers in each venue.

Accreditation

The training has been accredited by the FPA for five hours of CPD. Members of other professional bodies (including tax (financial) advisers) can also claim hours of CPD according to their professional rules. The FPA’s breakdown of CPD is as follows:

  • Professional dimensions: Capability – 2 hours; Professional conduct – 1 hour; Critical thinking – 1 hour; Attributes and performance – 1 hour. 
  • Knowledge areas: Generic knowledge – 2 hours; Skills – 1 hour; Estate planning – 1 hour; Tax – 1 hour. 

Costs

There is no cost for attending this training – even if you are not a Dover adviser.
